Account and Business Settings support guide step 1

The Account Settings page controls the register, printer, taxes, optional features, appearance, branding, signature text, date and time formats, and account deletion.

Open Account Settings

  1. Select Manage from the navigation bar.
  2. Select Settings from the management sidebar.
  3. Turn Admin Tools on when changes are required.

With Admin Tools off, settings can be reviewed, but administrative controls are hidden or disabled.

Register Management

Drawer Balance

Drawer Balance displays the amount currently recorded in the cash drawer.

Adjust the drawer balance

  1. Turn Admin Tools on.
  2. Select Adjust.
  3. Enter the correct drawer balance using the keypad.
  4. Use ← to remove the last digit or Clear to start over.
  5. Select Done to apply the adjustment.

Reset the drawer

Select Reset to reset the recorded drawer balance. Confirm the physical drawer and recorded balance before using this control.

Open the drawer

Select Open to open a supported connected cash drawer without processing a sale.

POS Printer

The POS Printer section displays the current printer connection.

Available controls include:

  • Connect Printer to connect a supported POS printer.
  • Disconnect Printer to remove the current printer connection.

These controls may be unavailable when no compatible printer is detected.

Tax Settings

Default Tax

Enter the business’s default tax percentage in Default Tax.

This rate is used by products configured to use the default tax setting. Individual products can instead use a custom tax rate or be configured with no tax.

Select Save Changes after updating the default tax rate.

Feature Control

Feature Control determines which CrumbsOS tools are visible in the dashboard.

Turning a feature off hides it from view. It does not delete that feature’s existing data or settings.

Admin Tools must be enabled to change feature visibility.

Available features include:

Modifiers

Displays the Modifiers management page and related product options.

Modifiers can be used for selectable product changes, additions, or choices.

Toppings

Enables topping-related product options and controls.

Payroll & Timecards

Displays the Timecards management page and enables employee timekeeping features.

Custom Menus

Displays the Menus management page and enables custom POS menu configuration.

Raw Inventory

Enables detailed inventory controls, including finite stock quantities and additional inventory-management options.

After changing feature controls, select Save Changes.

Appearance

Appearance settings customize how CrumbsOS looks for the business and its users.

App color

Choose the primary accent color used throughout the application.

Select Reset to restore the app’s default accent color.

Font Color 1

Controls text used for POS buttons and management tabs.

Font Color 2

Controls text used for sorted tabs and categories.

Font Color 3

Controls text used for Admin Tools and action buttons.

Each font-color setting includes a Reset control for restoring its default value.

Dark mode

Enable Dark mode for a darker interface intended for low-light environments.

Appearance changes should be reviewed for readable contrast before saving.

Branding

Business logo

The Branding section displays the current business logo.

To replace it:

  1. Turn Admin Tools on.
  2. Select Choose File.
  3. Select the new logo image.
  4. Select Upload.
  5. Select Save Changes when required.

Select Remove to remove the current logo. Removing a logo changes business branding and should be done intentionally.

Signature Disclaimer

Enter optional text in Signature Disclaimer.

This text is displayed when signatures are collected. It can be used for acknowledgements, authorization language, policies, or other information associated with a customer signature.

Admin Tools must be enabled to edit this field.

Date & Time

Time Format

Choose how times are displayed:

  • 12-hour
  • 24-hour

Date Format

Choose the preferred date format:

  • MM/DD/YYYY
  • DD/MM/YYYY
  • YYYY-MM-DD

Time Zone

Choose the business time zone.

Available selections include:

  • System Default
  • UTC
  • America/New_York
  • America/Chicago
  • America/Denver
  • America/Los_Angeles
  • Europe/London
  • Europe/Berlin
  • Asia/Tokyo
  • Australia/Sydney

The selected time zone affects how business dates and times are displayed throughout CrumbsOS.

Save Account Settings

After making changes:

  1. Review the updated settings.
  2. Select Save Changes.
  3. Acknowledge the confirmation message.
  4. Verify that the settings remain selected.

Danger Zone

The Danger Zone is visible when Admin Tools is enabled.

Delete Account

Delete Account permanently deletes the business and its CrumbsOS data.

Deleting a CrumbsOS business does not delete a separately connected Stripe account from Stripe.

Account deletion is permanent and should only be performed after preserving any required business records.
