How to Delete Your Account

Deleting a CrumbsOS account permanently removes the business and its CrumbsOS data.

This action cannot be undone.

Deleting the CrumbsOS account does not delete a connected Stripe account from Stripe. Any connected Stripe account must be managed separately.

Before You Delete the Account

Before continuing:

  • Confirm that you are deleting the correct business.
  • Export or retain any information the business may need.
  • Confirm that the account and its CrumbsOS data are no longer required.
  • Remember that deleting CrumbsOS does not delete the connected Stripe account.

Open Account Settings

  1. Log in to CrumbsOS as an administrator.
  2. Select Manage from the navigation bar.
  3. Select Settings from the management sidebar.
  4. Turn Admin Tools on.
  5. Scroll to Danger Zone.

The Danger Zone contains the Delete Account control and the following warning:

Permanently deletes this business and its CrumbsOS data. This does not delete the connected Stripe account from Stripe.

Delete the Account

  1. Under Danger Zone, select Delete Account.
  2. CrumbsOS displays the following confirmation:

    Permanently delete this CrumbsOS account and all business data? This cannot be undone.

  3. Select OK to continue.

Select Cancel to stop without deleting the account.

Enter the Confirmation Phrase

After accepting the first warning, CrumbsOS requests a confirmation phrase.

  1. Enter:

    DELETE_ACCOUNT

  2. Confirm that the phrase includes the underscore and matches exactly.
  3. Select OK.

Select Cancel to stop the deletion.

Complete the Deletion

CrumbsOS displays a deleting status while the account and business data are removed.

When the deletion is complete, the following message appears:

Account deleted.

  1. Select OK.
  2. CrumbsOS redirects to the account authentication page at pos.crumbsos.com/auth.

A deletion notification may also be sent to the account email address.

What Is Deleted

The deletion removes the business and its CrumbsOS data, including the business’s associated CrumbsOS records and account configuration.

Because the process is permanent, deleted CrumbsOS data cannot be restored through the POS.

What Is Not Deleted

Deleting the CrumbsOS account does not delete a connected Stripe account from Stripe.

If the business previously connected Stripe, sign in to Stripe separately to review or manage that account.
